Jazz Night

On the First Thursday of every month, participating tenant artists in the Casket Arts Building and the Carriage House open their studio doors from 5-9pm. This month, they will be joined by some great local jazz musicians:

• The Dakota Combo with Adam Linz: 5:30 & 7:30 on the 4th Floor Stage. This is a metro-area, all-star high school modern jazz band led by bassist Adam Linz of the MacPhail Center for Music.

• Larry McDonough & Carol Bergquist: 6:30 in the 1st Floor Dead End Lounge. Locally renowned jazz pianist Larry McDonough and flute player Carol Bergquist will be playing some of the tunes from Larry's album "Tuscarora," inspired by a lake in northern MN, with CDs for sale in Studio 116.

Stop in to load up on some jazz, food served up by Gastro Truck and see what our talented tenants are making in their studios!

All other times by appointment:

Truckstop Gallery
20 Grove St. #72

In this solo exhibition, Russ White uses orange and white traffic barricades as a symbol both of our country's newfound state of anxiety and of its resistance to the unAmerican initiatives of this administration. Featured in the show will be large scale colored pencil drawings, sculptures, and flags.

The show takes its name from the military acronym SNAFU, meaning Situation Normal: All Fouled Up. The work in this exhibition strives to remind viewers that this new political reality is, in fact, very far from normal. We should proceed with caution.

Twenty percent of all sales will be donated to Planned Parenthood (MN, ND, SD) and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
