The Casket Art Building is the newest artist building in Northeast Minneapolis located at 17th and Jefferson. The collection of artists range from mixed media, painting, photography, jewelry to furniture making and book selling. Building a community of artists committed to their art and showing and selling their art.
Join us for our monthly First Thursday event. Casket Arts Building Artists open their studios to the public the first Thursday of each month. You can browse, meet the artists, see their studios and purchase work.
It’s a great opportunity to have a evening out with family and friends, experiencing art.

First Thursdays
First Thursdays is the Open Studio and Gallery Tour held the first
Thursday of each month in the NE Minneapolis Arts District. Many of our professional NEMAA member artists open their studios and greet visitors. With a more relaxed atmosphere, this mini-AAW is a great experience for the art collector and browser.

Join the creative people who inhabit the Casket Community in the Casket Arts Building and the Casket Arts Carriage House @ 17 th Av & Madison St NE the weekend before Halloween for the Open Casket.
On Friday Oct. 24, 5-9 pm and Saturday Oct. 25, 12-8 pm the Casket Studios will open and Art will bring the buildings to life.
In addition to an exiting range of art work, participating studios will each have an artist designed pumpkin
that will be awarded by a drawing to lucky viewers at the end of this event.
